Chalet Rhaetia is well suited for families with small children. The chalet itself has a travelcot and highchair as well as sets of plastic crockery and utensils for toddlers. The Madrisa mountain, just 5 minutes walk from the chalet, offers a crèche with fully qualified staff from 2 upwards at the top of the bubble car. No advance booking is usually necessary (although not a bad idea to ring up the day before). Bring your child and skis in the bubble car. Sign in at the crèche for a half or full day, lunch can be provided too. Then just step into your skis and off you go! For children from three and up there is a toddlers' SnowGarden next to the crèche. English speaking instructors give children their first experience of being on skies, and ease them into the children's ski school. However it can be hard persuading the children to come out of the crèche and try skis!

For the evenings, the local tourist board will also provide a list of English speaking babysitters, however these do get very booked up. It's best to get the list in advance and book before you go.
